Sinopsis
En un departamento de París, una mujer embarazada espera que alguien regrese, aunque todo indique que ha sido abandonada. El que llega no es el padre de su hijo sino Francisco, el abuelo de aquél, un porteño canchero que ha vivido en todas partes y a la mayoría no puede volver. Ella habla sólo francés; él asegura que también lo habla. Dentro de la panza de Anne, los tiempos se precipitan. Con estos dos personajes –más dos que nunca veremos: uno nonato pero que ya causa problemas y el otro, una omnisciente y resignada voz en off–, el director de Salamandra diseña una historia de cámara; prescinde de toda referencia turística o cultural y se dedica a ofrecernos la construcción de una amistad entre cómica y trágica, fruto de la necesidad y la desesperación. Actores no profesionales y secuencias oníricas creadas hace una década –como la música original de Sergio Dawi– completan el mosaico de una película inusual.
Synopsis
In an apartment in Paris, a pregnant woman awaits for someone’s return, even everything indicates that she has been abandoned. The one who arrives is not the father of her child, but Francisco, the father’s grandfather, a porteño with a great personality, who has lived everywhere and that cannot come back to most of those places. She only speaks French; and he assures that he speaks the language as well. Inside Anne’s belly time is getting shorter. With these characters (and two more that we will never see: the unborn who already causes trouble and the other one, an omniscient and resigned voice-over) the director of Salamandra designs camera story; without any touristic o cultural reference, Pablo Agüero offers us the construction of a tragicomic friendship, out of necessity and desperation. Non- professional actor and dream sequences created a decade ago (as the original score by Sergio Dawi) complete the mosaic of this unusual film.
